Digital & Ecommerce Marketer

Born and bred in Colombia, I took a wild leap and landed in New Zealand 11 years ago. Talk about a plot twist! This move didn’t just give me a new address; it added a splash of Kiwi flavor to my worldview. And while I’m all about the digital hustle, my favorite gig? Being a mom and soaking up every laugh, cry, and dance-off with my little girl and main man. Life’s a wild ride, and I’m here for every twist and turn.

My Story

Keep reading if you want to know how I ended up here 🙂

This is my little family!

Back in ’06, fresh out of Uni in the vibrant city of Medellin, Colombia, with a shiny degree in Advertising and PR, I was all set to conquer the corporate jungle. I hopped from one gig to another, collecting stories, scars, and a ton of experience.

Then, the entrepreneur bug bit me. I started my own gig, orchestrating marketing events and PR launches for some of Colombia’s big names. Four years of blood, sweat, and a whole lot of caffeine.

Fast forward to 2012. My husband pitched me a wild idea: “How about we trade the Colombian hustle for some Kiwi chill?” New Zealand, with its serene landscapes and promise of new adventures, beckoned. The idea? Tempting. The challenge? I didn’t speak a word of English.

So, we did the maddest thing ever.

Sold our stuff, packed our dreams into two bags, and jetted off to the land of the long white cloud. The first year? A rollercoaster.

Picture this: me, trying to wrap my head around the Kiwi accent and culture, jobless, and entirely leaning on Alejandro.

Big shoutout to him, he had the English game down. While he dived into the NZ scene, I hit the books, learning English and gearing up for my next big move.

So, to get familiar with English, I started a fashion and style blog. Who’d have thought this little side gig would be my golden ticket into the NZ digital marketing scene? From Health and Wellness to Fashion and those fancy Home Fragrances, I danced through it all, mastering the arts of social media, e-commerce, SEO, and the whole digital shebang. But, plot twist: the laid-back Kiwi life? Not so laid-back.

2018 rolled around, and in a classic “hold my beer” moment, I ditched the corporate shackles to launch my own social media academy and consulting business, catering to coaches and consultants. Life was cruising until 2020 threw a curveball: a global pandemic and a baby on board! So, I hit pause on the professional front, diving headfirst into the world of diapers and lullabies.

Fast forward to now, and here I am, back in the corporate grind as the Head of E-commerce and Digital for a Health and Wellness Online Retailer. But, old habits die hard. The itch to share, to write, to spill the beans on AI tools that can jazz up your business or personal life? It’s back. So, here’s me, rebooting the blogging game.

Cheers for sticking around,

Tati.
